I contributed this article to the Dangerous Women Project housed at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh. The project asked what it meant to be a dangerous woman, and I responded by recalling an author, Hélène Cixous, who writes of the menacing Medusa as a feminist figure. I call attention to the fact that Cixous herself has been identified as a Medusa-like dangerous woman.
Feminism values collaboration and personal experience. I collaborated with 7 graduate student writers to create this Feminist Pedagogy Teaching guide for Vanderbilt's Center for Teaching website. With a co-writer, I was responsible for the "Habits of Head" section of this educational resource.
Academic Publications
I published the two articles below as part of my academic research at Vanderbilt University and Fisk University. Both are featured in peer-reviewed academic journals in the disciplines of French Studies, Religious Studies, and Comparative Literature.
The journal cover art is in honor of my article!
